Super Talent Leads in Low Latency in Toms Hardware DDR3 Roundup

We invited fifteen of the world’s premier memory brands to take part in today’s comparison, requesting the absolute best 4GB dual-channel kit each firm could offer for a Web price under $150. Chrome Series is Super Talents broadest performance line, providing overclockers greater value rather than ultimate frequency capability. Super Talent leads the latency chart at DDR3-1866, and is similarly rewarded in Sandra Memory Bandwidth. G.Skill and Super Talent tie in Sandra Bandwidth at DDR3-1600, which makes some sense only if Super Talent’s lower tRAS is a match for G.Skill’s lower tRP. Super Talent leads at DDR3-1333, but it’s not like anyone actually plans to run this memory that “slow.”

Super Talent DDR3 Kit Named "Best Value for Non-Overclockers" by Toms Hardware
The only product in today’s comparison to use extruded (rather than pressed) aluminum heat spreaders, Super Talent is also the only company to add the minor expense of chrome plating its parts to add visual appeal in windowed cases.
With the exception of Patriot’s Sector 5 that defaulted to DDR3-1066, the other four module sets all defaulted to the same DDR3-1333 CAS 9 speed and timings. Among those four module sets, non-overclockers will find that price is the biggest value determiner.

Overclockers Recommends STT DDR3-1600 Kit for Budget PCs
At around $40, this RAMoffers a HUGE value for light to moderate P55 overclocking. They did far better than stock settings, and I would absolutely recommend this kit to anyone wanting to go P55 on a budget.

Super Talent DDR3 Ranked Best Overclocking Value on Toms Hardware 6-Kit Roundup

Great DDR3-1600 timings for Super Talent’s low-cost modules are revealed in Sandra Memory Bandwidth. ...ultra-low-pricing makes Super Talent’s CAS-9 rated DDR3-2000 a top value. Adding excellent low-latency capability at various speeds, it would probably qualify as a winner, if only availability were better.

Project X Rocks in DDR3 Roundup on Next Hardware
All memories worked in perfect stability according to the manufacturers' specifications, are constructed using fine materials, and overclock well - in line with the best 2x2GB modules currently on the market.

If we were to give advice our choice would fall on SuperTalent or Kingston kits because of their increased operational flexibility that allows you to set a range of operating frequencies ranging from DDR3-1600 MHz to DDR3-1900 MHz in perfect stability.

Driver Heaven Gives Editors Choice Award to DDR3 Project X
Super Talent have chosen to use very aggressive timings on their memory and this results in some very impressive performance which matches or exceeds just about every DDR3-1800MHz kit on the market. The aesthetics are also good and the black heatsinks should fit in well with many high end motherboards which use a similar colour scheme.

Project X DDR3 Kit Hits Top Speeds at NokyTech, Takes Award
In the end, this kit fooled us by the ease with which we were able to tweak it...optimum secondary timings allowed us to reach top tier performance.

The kit we have in our hands was easily able to reach DDR3-12800 @ CAS6, DDR3-14400 @ CAS7, and DDR3-16000 @ CAS8 at or even below recommended voltage.
