PICO USB Drives

Our new PICO series USB drives fuse technology with fashion. The first product in this series is a swivel style called PICO-A. This drive is beyond small, at 1/3 the size of our popular SM series and weighing in at less than six grams. PICO-A features a shiny chrome steel lid that swivels open and snaps shut to protect your data. The chrome lid is produced with a special chrome-free process so the drive is fully RoHS compliant.

The new PICO series is manufactured using chip on board (COB) technology in which the flash die is wire bonded directly to the PCB. COB technology enables a significant reduction in size. PICO drives in capacities up to 4GB are shipping now in limited quantities, with mass production in mid-November.

VLP White Paper

The Very Low Profile, or VLP, DDR2 is a new compact DIMM with the full power of standard DDR2 in a smaller form factor. VLP modules use the same width and pinout as standard JEDEC DDR2 modules, making them functionally identical to and compatible with the industry standard. As seen in figure 1, the VLP DDR2 measures 0.70 inches in height, compared to 1.18 inches for standard DDR2 modules.
