All firmware upgrade issues should go here

Hi,
if the CD Image doesn't work, why don't you use the "normal" way with an DOS-Boot Disk/USB-Stick? I did this and it worked like a charm...

If you have the S/N with "xExX" or you did upgrade the SSD to V1711, please downgrade to V1571 before flash to V1819. ( I am sorry about the inconvenience and the wrong information posted before.)

We won't recommend customers to upgrade the firmware if the drives work properly on your computers.

V1819 firmware:

MAC Users running V1711:

Download V1819 RAR, not ISO (for example "FTM56GX.rar) and follow these steps:
http://www.jinx.de/teclog/Entries/2009/8/11_Updating_the_firmware_on_my_SSDs.html

Many thanx to Jinx!!! :D

Reboot Mac and press "C". After that you 're entering DOS. Type in the name of your firmware + ".exe" (for example "FTM56GX.EXE") and enter. Wait. If you asked type "Y" and enter. Wait. Then type the number of your drive (for example "1") and enter. Upgrade should be succesfully. Reboot MAC OSX.

Testet under MAC 10.6.1 Snow Leopard with STT_FTM56GX25H_DIX.

There 're still no more problems with sleep-/wake up-mode under V1819. Other functions not complete testet.

Sorry for my bad english. I'm German. ;)

Hi there, I have a kind of a problem, PRT is running slower on all drives, but more important my 32 GB Model is also slower than before the upgrade. My 64 GB Model has the same speed than befor upgrading. Before the upgarde the speed was nearly identical of the two drives, now it isn't.

That's really sad. On my mb unibody late 2008 13" with 10.6.2 it works fine.

Dear ST, please help us MAC-users. We can't downgrade to V1571 without windows and only one S-ATA in MacBook.

Did you tried it with rar-file and creating your own iso? After I did it this way, no banana is required.

Welche FW brauchst du denn? Ich kann dir sonst gerne auch eine ISO erstellen und mailen. Die brauchst du anschlie鑴絜nd nur mit dem Festplattendienstprogramm brennen.

I am curious to know why supertalent would note "We won't recommend customers to upgrade the firmware if the drives work properly on your computers. " ??????

Also, is there a change log/revision history available for 1819?
