Postby STT-MJ » Thu Oct 15, 2009 9:10 am

Dear All:

Firmware V1819 is up:
Please read the instruction before starting flash the drive.

If you have the S/N with "xExX" or you did upgrade the SSD to V1711, please downgrade to V1571 before flash to V1819. ( I am sorry about the inconvenience and the wrong information posted before.)
Check the thread for V1711 flash to V1571 tool: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=810

WARNING: Updating the Firmware may erase all data in the SSD. Please back up all your data before upgrading the firmware.
We won't recommend customers to upgrade the firmware if the drives work properly on your computers
.

In order to dramatically decrease the error or mistake, please check the "TO Do List" before you start running the firmware.

TO DO LIST BEFORE FLASH TO v1819:
[*]TURN OFF AHCI MODE-MAKE SURE YOU SET THE IDE MODE AND THE FIRST BOOT SEQUENCE IS FROM CD/DVD
[*]DISABLE RAID-CHECK WHETHER THE MOTHERBOARD GOES WITH RAID BY DEFAULT
[*]THE FIRMWARE VERSION IS V1571 OR LOWER
-check the firmware upgrade instruction, there is the answer how to distinguish between the firmware.
[*]MAKE BOOTABLE CD
Free Bootable CD burner program: you may download it from the website here.

http://www.imgburn.com/

Download free image burner program from the site above.
Install the program.
Download the iso upgrade file or downgrade file from the Super Talent forum site.
Run image burner program.
Select the iso file for the source.
Select the CD/DVD drive with blank CD.
Press run.
It will finish automatically.
After the iso file burning, this program will give you the music sound.

Hi Guys, is it still safe to use the Performance Refresh Tool for V.1571 for the new Firmware V1819?

V1571 is the temporary solution for users without TRIM function. yes, you are still able to use it, but for the operation system which support TRIM, no need to run RFT.

is it clear?
