Write Amplification Factor - How to calculate it?

Please see the attached screenshot for the "write amplification factor"
It is very important at SSD.
This is Indilinx controller based Ultra Drive GX/GX2 SSD screenshots.
Firmware version is 2142. Very wonderful data point.
Please try to understand what it means.
WAF - Lower number is better. Screenshot says 4.9... Very good.
If you are using older firmware base SSD, it will be 10 or above...
Check your SSD and get the latest firmware to lower the WAF to extend your SSD life.
