DuraDrive ZT2 compatibility with Sony Vaio P Netbooks

Postby skywatcher » Wed Apr 24, 2013 12:37 pm

I purchased a 128GB ZT2 ZIF SSD (FZM28GW18P) for my Sony Vaio P series netbook. After initializing and formating the drive on another computer using a USB caddy, I installed it in my Vaio P netbook. But, it refuses to be detected by the Bios. I even tried flipping the drive over and still no luck. Could this particular drive be incompatible with the Vaio P series, or is it just a bad drive? The Sony netbook is a Model No. VPC-P11S1E, and the original drive that came with it is a Sxxxxxx SSD ZIF drive Model No. SDPA3CD-064G. It's interesting that the drive worked fine while installed in the USB caddy, but it's not seen in the Vaio netbook.

It may not be compatible with your Sony netbook.
That ZT2 is originally designed for APPLE MacBook Air 1.
