CoreStore MV 32 or 64 on Dell XPS 15 (L502x)

CoreStore MP - Desktop, MV-Notebook/Embedded/Netbook

I understand formatting. Even unformatted drives, however, are visible in Windows. As far as I know, no other drive requires a separate "initialization" process, which is what I thought you meant.

You pointed exactly right.
But it is about SATA.
This product is not SATA. It means it is not SATA protocol specification.
It is truly PCIe spec.
None of PCIe product lines are automactically detected and used.

SPEC and protocol is totally different.

Thanks,
James

Fair enough, but the setup guide only covers driver installation, and says nothing about an initialization process. I was directed to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZpeEmF90XA which I believe is what you are talking about. Unfortunately, I don't get an "initialize disk" prompt, so I think there might be something else wrong on my end.

Initialization means:

when you buy a new HDD and connect it to the desktop PC, the Windows OS will automatically
detect that new HDD. But you still cannot see the disk from my computer untill you initialize and format the HDD.

To initialize and format it, go in to disk management.
How to go in to disk management?
Start - My computer - manage - disk management
