Dead drive

Postby dhyong » Fri Jun 14, 2013 10:41 pm

Hi James,

I have a dead drive and am wondering if it can be fixed somehow.

Model # FTD64GX25H

I am a bit confused because the serial number is R563012-AJBX-927A001 and all of the AJBX ones seem to be connected to FTM not FTD.

Is there anything I can do?

Your SSD Flash Selection is K9WBG08U1M 64GB.
Please see the site below and download the first file.

Read the instruction first and let me know if you can do that.

The drive refuses to be recognized by BIOS. I have tried turning SATA mode to "compatibility" instead of AHCI. I have also tried using a SATA USB enclosure. None of these will get the drive to even be recognized. I have also tried multiple computers. In all cases, the computer detects that there is a device connected and after a long pause, it will continue on but no drive will be enumerated to the OS or BIOS.

Is there anything at all that can be done to get the drive to work again?

Thanks, Darryl
