i just did try to downgrade. i did everything like the instruction say. but on step 6 i get the errormessage: DOWNLOAD_MICROCODE: not supported on this platform.

I have a FTM64GX25H SSD with ...DIX... in the serial number

what am i doing wrong?

Did you use the "FTM64GX25H.rar" file, that should be the correct downgrade file for you. Download microcode error suggests that the program and the serial number doesnt match.

I think Admin or ST-J should edit the first post to something like this:

If your S/N is BIX, CIX, DIX, DAX, DBX, EBX use these files:
FTM32GX25H.rar
FTM64GX25H.rar
FTM28GX25H.rar
FTM56GX25H.rar

If your S/N is XXXX use this file:
FTM28GXXXH.rar

If your S/N includes TxX ( Example TAX ) in use these files:
FTM64GX25H_TH.rar
FTM28GX25H_TH.rar
FTM56GX25H_TH.rar

The 32/64/28/56 indicates the disk size 32/64/128/258GB.

Because when reading the first post if you arent very carefull you might download the wrong version of the file.

hi,

yes i downloaded the right file. FTM64GX25H.rar for my FTM64GX25H SSD (...BDIX... SN). AHCI is OFF, The SSD is NOT the systemdrive, partition is deleted. I use WinXP SP3 as OS.

Anyone an idea?

Other question: Do I have to downdgrade my SSD to update to the new coming firmware or can i simply flash from 1711 to the new one?

Atleast here ST-J says you can just upgrade from 1711 to the new firmware.

"These tools only work for these S/N with-BIX, CIX, DIX, DAX, DBX, EBX"

Still no downgrade for AIX drives?
Or were they just forgotten in the list?

Just read the instruction the one thing that caught my eye is to do the downgrade on xp. All My computers have either vista or windows 7 how can this downgrader be coded for xp only, can i just run a compatibility for it to work on vista and windows 7.

Hallo

ich versuche schon den ganzen Tag ein downgrade auf die alte Frimware um dann die neue aufzuspielen.

1. Ich hatte zwei Partinionen auf Windows 7, installation nicht m鏋歡lich.
2. Neuinstallation XP -> konnte die Platte nicht finden.
3. Neuinstallation VISTA -> konnte die Platte nicht finden.
4. Neuinstallation Windows 7 Pro -> "Cannot update SSD firmware because the drive has a partition table" h鐩??

und nu?
