How did you get it to work Bob?

I have an UltraDrive ME 64GB that I downgraded from 1711 to 1571 using a BartPE Boot disk; but everytime I try to run the 1819 FTM64GX firmware update, I get an invalid WIN32 application error. The file seems corrupted to me. Tried downloading it several times and never got it to work.

Check the computer setting, and follow the upgrade instruction before use the firmware.

ST-J, the firmware file does not even try to run - how is it any different than using the older 1571 firmware which runs and works perfectly?

And where is this bootable dos cd mentioned in the update guide posted at the bottom?

**Nevermind - the iso is actaully posted on the site now.

@ST-J
Does 1819 have GC enabled or not? Will there be an update that has GC AND TRIM enabled?

@all
The Update has to be done under DOS as usual. The Downgrade requires Windows.

Wow this is lame. I cannot even boot into DOS because this legacy POS cannot even supply drivers for my DVD drive.

CD-ROM Device Driver for IDE (Four Channels Supported)
(C)Copyright Oak Technology Inc. 1993-1996
Driver Version : V340
Driver Name : BANANA
No drives found, aborting installation

Device driver not found: 'BANANA' .
No valid CDROM device drivers selected
A:\>

According to your supplied CH_ISO.iso, I am missing a very important yellow, potassium-rich driver that is preventing me from accessing the 1891 firmware.

How about making this a little easier for all of us PLEASE!

Hi, following happens:

CD-ROM Device Driver for IDE (Four Channels Supported)
(C)Copyright Oak Technology Inc. 1993-1996
Driver Version : V340
Driver Name : BANANA
No drives found, aborting installation

Device driver not found: 'BANANA' .
No valid CDROM device drivers selected
A:\>

My mainboard is an ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution with an 6-Channel-IDE onboard.
Is this the reason, why i can't install FW V1819?
